600
Today is my six hundredth post. It would have been more impressive if I'd waited five days to post this; then I would have 600 posts on the blog's fourth birthday. Or, wait, is that less impressive?
No matter.
Here are some photos from the camera phone:
Unnecessary quotation marks! (The second is my favorite; I drove one of those.)
More roadtrip pictures! (Handcrafted soda at Hot Lips in Portland; the park blocks by PSU; spiced oatmeal, banana walnut granola, coffee, and fresh ciabatta at Bread & Cup in Lincoln; and the patio at Victor's 1959 Cafe ["revolutionary Cuban cooking"] in Mpls)

How was Victor's? I saw them once on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives on Food Network and I'm going to be in the Cities in a couple weeks.
ammuge: big ammunition
Congratulations and Happy Birthday! Love the pictures.
Daniel: Victor's was great. The mango waffle was so delicious I ordered seconds.

Yes, you should definitely eat at Victor's! I like the Professor Stavrou special, and the waffles were pretty amazing. Good coffee, too, and the food's cheap. In the summer they open up the small patio, doubling their seating space.
I'm impressed that it was on TV; it's a teensy place, but a lot of fun.
"Happy" 600 blog "posts" Ceri. "That" is exciting "."
Those signs drive me crazy! They're a tragic commentary of our society. Or, dare I say it? education system.
That first sign is making me laugh...what can it possibly mean? "Please don't pack down your meat"????????
The obscure meaning completely overpowers my annoyance at the extraneous quotation marks. And that's saying a lot for me, copy editor extraordinaire.
hahaha! i love "extraneous" quotation marks. the "people" pictures are awfully cute, but for comic effect they don't hold a "candle" to the quotation mark ones.
Happy 600!
