Bryant posted!

Minehaha Falls. Read all about it here.

(If my smile looks pained, it's because it had warmed up to just one degree above zero.)

See what you all are missing?

See what I mean? Obsessed with the weather. Wunderground does say that it warmed up to 7 degrees on that day.

Seven was the HIGH! It was one when we were out.

I was browsing on IMDb, and I was mistaken about Spike Jones directing Three Kings. It was David O. Russell, who also directed Mark Wahlberg in I (Heart) Huckabees.

Sorry for that mistake; I just assumed that since Jones was a director he was the director of the film too.

Yeah, I realized the next day in lecture that it was Russelll, not Jonze, who had directed. No need to apologize, though--it was an easy mistake to make!

Speaking of films, have you seen The Good Shepherd?

Yes, I have seen The Good Shepherd.

What did you think of it? Bryant and I saw it this weekend. It was a break from the Durkheim I'd been reading, certainly... but still required a bit much of my brain for a Saturday night break.

I thought it was good. I think it is an interesting biopic. It has the spy drama and family conflict, with a touch of the secret society stuff. It isn't the greatest resolution, but life isn't full of great resolutions.

I think Jolie was too much. Damon felt accurate in a tricky role, and I still haven't figured out how to judge directors, but I think DeNiro was successful.
