Still, still, still...
Today was the first snow of the season (not that it's sticking... yet, anyway), but I made like a ninja and dragged myself out in it anyway.
My climbing tonight certainly wasn't impressive, but apparently biking in this weather was--one of the boys there had deemed it too cold this morning to ride, and had shivered the whole way to school on foot. I may not be able to climb, but I WILL ride my bike!
Climbing was great fun, nonetheless, and I was once again amazed at how much better I felt after going, much as I had dreaded it beforehand. I guess that's a lesson I just have to learn over and over.
When I got home, my apartment should have smelled like chewy-chocolate-chocolate-chip-crack-cookies, but instead it smelled like cigarettes. Grrrr, neighbors. It is a little disturbing, but I'm too happy (and beat) from climbing to pursue it.

i like crack-and-cigarette cookies...
Ummm... Are these "special" cookies? No wonder your climbing wasn't "impressive"...
ninjai: "Hello little bird"
I've never baked anything "special," but for some reason this particular recipe is ridiculously addictive, for which I think both Ellen and Bryant will vouch.
about the coldness, this week winter has suddenly and heartlessly descended upon the upper-eastern part of north dakota. This morning when I walked the 7 minutes to school (which seemed much longer than usual) it was 11 degrees. Who knows what the nasty windchill was...
This afternoon I went out and bought long johns.
(Off topic goes the Scott)
Ceri, I was just looking through my blog's statistics and your blog seems to be grand central station. I get way more people coming from yours to mine or from mine to yours than any other. I find it interesting.
