David (who loves squirrels): Oh look, there's a squirrel! He's so cute! Me: I don't like squirrels. David: Oh, he's going to jump! Maybe if I scare him, he'll fall! (Knocks on window. Looks down. Pauses.) ...He may have fallen.
One of my student workers saw a really fat squirrel that put his hand up on a tree after some weak jumps like he was catching his breath before climbing the tree.
I imagine he survived--I've seen a squirrel fall from a telephone wire and he ran off like it was nothing.
OK--I didn't actually see him fall. I saw him on a very small wire, precariously inching his way a long. I looked away, heard a thump on the ground, turned back and there he was!

That is funny but nothing can touch the American Gothic pic further down. HAR HAR HAR.
Recently, there was a squirrel so fat that when he fell into the trash cart he couldn't climb out.
Q: What's the squirrelution to that problem?
A: Chew your way out through the quarter inch, blue plastic side...

Ha! "Squirrelution"--I love it!
I didn't see our little jumper, but even if he did fall, I'm guessing he was fine--they're such tough little guys.
Holly, 'can't wait to see the pictures, and Kuyler, I'm glad you liked our American Gothic!
oh, DAY-vid!! He's so funny! BTW, I hate squirrels too.

Seester, I knew you'd appreciate that story.
