This is what my desk looked like yesterday, just after I turned in my exams. I think the precarious stacks of books and dirty dishes are particularly telling.
But this is what my apartment looks like this morning, with an extra bike and an extra person (sleeping on the couch). As you may already be aware, Ellen is visiting this weekend!
According to local public radio, not only might this be the best weather-weekend of the year here, but we might be having the best weather in the country. (You Northwesterners have been making our news with your temperatures.)
We're going to get out and enjoy it, because goodness knows I can use it after the last two weeks. Written exams are done! As a friend ahead of me in the program put it recently, "Congratulations on being done with your exams. It's all just long, drawn-out anxiety instead of concentrated angst from here on out!"
I'll be angst-ing again soon enough, but this weekend is all about celebrating.

I'm sitting in the house, out of the 103 degree-to-be weather. And it's supposed to be even hotter tomorrow.
